The case is made with commercial-grade plastic resin and the removable ring is filled with concrete. The concrete provides stability for freestanding use but for extra security, this base can be mounted to the ground via molded anchor ports. The 16" stem can accommodate a 2" pole, the two thumbscrews allow tightening for a firm grip or retrofitting for 1 1/2" poles.
